We grew up spending summers at Lake Tahoe—and specifically, Chambers Landing—with piles of siblings and cousins, immersed in a steady rhythm of family life in the mountains. It was a childhood of summers built around easy traditions and simple togetherness. Ski weeks spent up and down the slopes of Homewood. When our daughter was born, we felt a pull to recreate even a small piece of that world for her.
The Homewood is a classic 1970's A-frame cabin with all the warmth and personality that comes with it. We reimagined her with reverence for her architectural heritage, keeping her spirit intact while thoughtfully layering in texture, patterns, and custom details. The interiors are a composition of hand-selected furnishings—some newly sourced, others collected over time and quietly saved for the “right place.” In hindsight, we realize this was always that place, a home created to continue a family tradition that now stretches five generations.

In creating this haven for our family, the intention organically grew into Collective Stays, an extension of The Interior Collective, focused on creating immersive, deeply personal, nostalgic stays in the places that have shaped us most. The Homewood became the first of those experiences—a way of bridging design, memory, and meaning in one place.
After multiple Lake Tahoe homes fell through, we landed here almost unexpectedly, just four doors down from our family's cabin who still spend half the year on the West Shore. It felt less like a search ending and more like the stars aligning.
